2) Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information (if you create an account): name (optional) and email address; login metadata such as last login time.
- Authentication information: if you sign in with Google, we store an identifier linked to your Google account (“sub”) and may store the Google-provided email address.
- Subscription and billing information: we use PayPal for subscriptions. We store subscription identifiers and status (for example, active/canceled) and the plan you selected. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Uploads and grading data: coin images you upload, your description/notes (if provided), and the grading output produced by the Service.
- Support tickets: messages you submit (and any replies) when you contact support, including your email (account email or guest email), ticket subject, and message history.
- Technical and security data: IP address, user-agent/browser information, and basic event logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.
UK/EU lawful bases: If you are in the UK or EEA, we process personal data under lawful bases such as performing our contract with you (to provide the Service), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service), your consent (where required, for example for certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
3) How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Service (upload processing, AI grading, report display, history, and job management).
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud/abuse.
- Manage subscriptions and confirm payment status.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service (for example, performance and reliability improvements).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4) AI processing and service providers
To generate grading results, the Service sends the coin images and related text you provide (such as your description and notes) to an AI service provider for analysis. We do not use your uploads to build a public image library. We configure and use service providers in a way intended to limit use of your content to providing the Service.
We also use third-party services to support the Service, such as:
- PayPal (subscriptions and billing).
- Google (Sign in with Google) and Google reCAPTCHA (abuse prevention on certain forms).
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver their services. Their use of data may be governed by their own privacy policies.
5) Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Coin images: uploaded images are configured to be automatically deleted after approximately 90 days.
- Job records and grading output: job records and reports are retained for a limited period and are currently configured to be automatically removed after approximately 90 days.
- Support tickets: retained to provide support, maintain records of requests, and prevent abuse; deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
- Subscription records: retained as needed for billing and accounting.
6) Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate the Service (for example, AI processing, payment processing, and abuse prevention).
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Service, our users, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction (for example, a merger or acquisition), subject to appropriate safeguards.
7) International transfers (UK/EU)
If you are located in the UK or European Economic Area, your personal information may be processed in countries outside your country of residence (including the United States) where data protection laws may differ. When applicable, we use safeguards designed to protect your information consistent with applicable law.
8) Your rights (UK/EU and other regions)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office).
To make a request, contact us through
/support.
9) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10) Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are under 18, you may not create an account or purchase a subscription unless a parent or legal guardian creates the account and uses the Service on your behalf.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us through
/support and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above indicates when it was last updated.
